A lot of folks enjoy writing as a hobby. “Pappy” is no exception! For this book, he had a thick three-ring binder full of typed-up stories he’d written through the years—plus, a separate novella. What a storyteller! The family, especially the younger generations, wanted to get it all put together in a book for this octogenarian. Yes, they wanted to help, and yes, they wanted to be able to read it all. But they also wanted to make it easier for him to share the stories with friends, acquaintances, former co-workers, and guys at the American Legion—no more photocopying of stories out of that binder to distribute!
