After an accomplished career in economics, in which this author published many academic books and articles, in retirement he has turned to personal writing. In the first part of this book, Walt Labys recounts his youth, education, and career that took him around the world. And in the second part, he dedicates chapters to his key passions: food, wine, music, and art. Having turned to painting as a creative outlet in recent years, he selected a painting of his for the cover, Village Brazil, which was inspired by one of his many international trips.
