In this case, a baseball historian. Alan is a lifelong baseball fanatic and “documenter” of the sport’s minor league days of old. Working on these two books, we quickly realized that baseball was BIG in Western Pennsylvania and nearby spots in WV and MD a century ago. At baseball-enthusiast events and games, there’s a good chance Alan’s carrying some of these wallet-sized book promo cards as well as a few postcards to spread the word on his books’ availability. He gets around! He has visited over one hundred professional ballparks, including nine major league parks.
