Sometimes, a bit teasingly, with a twinkle in their eye, clients and others ask if Populore’s owners have written their family stories/history. Well, as a matter of fact, Yes! During COVID, co-owner Ken St. Louis completed One Little Snake River Odyssey, which includes stories from his siblings and other relatives, extensive genealogy, and hundreds of photographs detailing his family and experiences growing up on a Colorado ranch. And, Yes! He and co-owner Rae Jean make it out to Colorado each year and visit the home place—most recently, during fall colors. (And, while visiting, Ken checks to see if the region’s state park, general store, and museum need more copies of his book for their shelves.
