Populore client Randy Safford lives in North Carolina, but he ended up exploring our state of West Virginia after initially delving into some family history. Looking into true events, people, and places that interested him, Randy ended up penning this collection based on bits of WV history. The stories cover time from the eighteenth century to the twenty-first, and they range in topics from a young George Washington meeting an old ferryman, to artists in prison, to mummies, to a robust tomato. Randy continues to write short stories as he spreads the word about his first book. Here’s a great profile of Randy and his book written by his local newspaper.
