The client was so pleased with Populore's work on his book Faith, Family, and Country that he placed an ad in the local newspaper to thank and recognize us. Click here to view a larger version of the ad that we enhanced with color for use in our portfolio.

Faith, Family, and Country: The Original Version
Differentiating it from its ten copies, this original version includes vegetable tanned goatskin on the lower half of the front, back, and spine; a limited edition medallion struck entirely from copper sheathing removed from the hull of the USS Constitution during regular overhaul in 1974; scratch resistant Plexiglas for the bookboards and cover window; and a more complicated binding technique. Inside, the facsimiles of pages of the logs and journals are printed in sepia.

Faith, Family, and Country: The Logs and Journals
One of the excerpts from the records of the USS Constitution featured in the book.

Faith, Family, and Country: The Logs and Journals
Another excerpt from the records of the USS Constitution featured in the book.

Faith, Family, and Country: The Ten Copies
The ten copies differ from the original book in simpler binding technique, design, and less deluxe materials. A PETG copolyester sheet was used for the cover window and the lower half of the cover was dyed to match the leather of the original book. Inside, the log and journal excerpts are printed in black and white.

Faith, Family, and Country: The Complete Set
Includes the original book and its handmade clamshell protective box; ten copies of the original (with less complicated design and binding technique) and their handmade protective phase boxes; complete sixteen-roll microfilm collection of the logs and journals of the USS Constitution, from which excerpts are featured in the book.
